【摘要】:ThispartoffourEuropeanStandardsspecifiesacompliancetestprovidinginformationonleachingofgranularwastesandsludgesundertheexperimentalconditionsspecifiedhereafter,andparticularlyaliquidtosolidratioof2l/kgdrymatterinafirststepandsubsequentlyof8l/kgdrymatterinasecondstep.Itappliestowastewhichhasaparticlesizebelow4mmwithoutorwithsizereduction(asspecifiedin4.3.2)ThisEuropeanStandardhasbeendevelopedtoinvestigatemainlyinorganicconstituentsfromwastes.Itdoesnottakeintoaccounttheparticularcharacteristicsofnon-polarorganicconstituentsnortheconsequencesofmicrobiologicalprocessesinorganicdegradablewastes.ThetestprocedurespecifiedinthisEuropeanStandardproduceseluateswhichshallsubsequentlybecharacterisedphysicallyandchemicallyaccordingtoappropriatestandardmethods.Thisprocedureisonlyapplicabletowastematerialandsludgeshavingahighsolidcontent:thedrymattercontentratioshallbeatleasthigherthan33%.Inaddition,thenecessaryquantityofeluateineachstepshallbeobtainedtoperformthephysicalandchemicalcharacterisationoftheeluate.Furthermore,theminimumdrymattercontentratioshallbehighenoughtoallowasufficientmixingoftheleachantandthetestportion.NOTE1Thisprocedurecannotbeapplicabletomaterialswithawatercontentorsuchawateraffinitythatagoodmixingofthesolidwiththepredeterminedquantityofliquidisnotachievable.NOTE2Thisprocedurecannotbeapplicabletomaterialsreactingwiththeleachant,leading,forexample,toexcessivegasemission,asolidifyingeffectoranexcessiveheatrelease.NOTE3Bycrushingthematerial,newsurfacesareexposedwhichmayleadtoachangeinleachingproperties.NOTE4Inrelationwiththeminimumdrymattercontentratiorequiredforobtainingenougheluateinthefirststep,thetestportionspecifiedinthisEuropeanStandardof175gramdrymatterresultsinamaximumvolumeofeluateof175mlifitsdrymattercontentratiois50%.Whenthefirststepofthispart3isnotapplicable,theleachingtestatL/S=10specifiedinpart2canbeperformed.Thistestcannotbeusedalonetodeterminetheleachingbehaviourofawaste,asspecifiedinENV12920.ThisEuropeanStandarddoesnotaddressissuesrelatedtohealthandsafety.
