【摘要】:Acidichot-meltadhesivesareusefulinmanyapplications,astheacidfunctionalitycancontributetobettersubstratewettingandbetteradhesiontopolar,nonporoussurfaces.Acidichot-meltadhesivesarealsoquitecorrosivetoconventionalironandsteeladhesiveapplicationequipment.Theacidnumberdeterminationwilltellanequipmentmanufacturerifcorrosion-resistantequipmentforanapplicationshouldberecommended.Theneedforcorrosion-resistantequipmentwillvarydependingontheacidnumberofthehot-meltadhesiveandtypeofmetalthatwillbebonded.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofacidnumbersofhot-meltadhesives.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicableforhot-meltandhot-melt/acidsystemsthataresolubleundertheconditionsdescribed.Thehotmeltmustalsogivelight-ormedium-coloredsolutionswhendissolved.Ifthisisnotthecaseanothermethodmustbeused.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Specificcautionstatementsaregivenin7.1and7.2.
