【摘要】:Plastics,likemanyothermaterials,arecombustible.Thisguideliststhetestmethodsforplasticsusedinvariousindustriesatthepresenttime.Thesetestmethodsprovidesomeinformationonthecombustibilityandburningcharacteristicsofplasticsproducts.Thisguideisintendedtoassisttheuserinlocatingtestmethodsthatmayprovidedataofthecombustioncharacteristicsoftheuserrsquo;product.(Warning8212;Duringthecourseofcombustion,gasesorvapors,orboth,areevolvedthatmaybehazardoustopersonnel.Adequateprecautionsshouldbetakentoprotecttheoperatorduringexecutionofanyofthesetestmethods.)Theuserofthisguideisresponsibleforobtainingthecurrent(latest)editionofanytestmethodselectedforuse.1.1Thisguideprovidesassistanceinlocatingtestmethodsandrelateddocumentsfordeterminingthecombustionpropertiesofpolymericmaterialsusedforvariousapplications.1.2ThisguideincludesstandardizedNorthAmericanandglobaltestmethodspromulgatedbyASTM,CSA,NFPA,SAE,UnderwritersLaboratories,NorthAmericanGovernmentAgencies,IEC,andISO.Itdoesnotincludeindustrialtests,userspecificationtests,nornonstandardtestmethods.Thislistoftestsisnotexhaustiveandtheusermustassumeothertestsmayexistforspecificmaterialsorapplications.1.3Thisguideisarrangedaccordingtoproductsandsystems.1.4Thetestmethodsdescribedinthisguideshouldbeusedsolelytomeasureanddescribethepropertiesofmaterials,products,orsystemsinresponsetoheatandflameundercontrolledlaboratoryconditionsandshouldnotbeconsideredorusedforthedescription,appraisal,orregulationofthefirehazardofmaterials,products,orsystemsunderactualfireconditions.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Specificprecautionarystatementsaregivenin.Note1TherearenoISOorIECstandardsequivalenttothisguide.Note2RelatedIECandISOstandardsarereferencedintheappropriateplacesthroughoutthisguide.
