Scope:This specification covers two classes (durometers) of tetrafluoroethylene/propylene rubber (FEPM) in the form of extrusions, sheet, strip, and molded shapes. 【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodmeasuresthesewnseamstrengthinwovenfabricsbyapplyingaforceperpendiculartothesewnseams.Note1ThegrabtestprocedureinTestMethodD5034shallbeusedtodetermineanycharacteristicinfabricthatcanaffectthemeasurementofsewnseamstrength.1.1.1Thistestmethodisapplicabletosewnseamsobtainedfromapreviouslysewnarticleorseamssewnwithfabricsamplesusingeitheraspecificseamassembly(seeTable1),orproductionseamassemblies.1.2Thistestmethodisusedwhenabreakingforcetorupture,aminimumelongation,orbotharerequiredtodeterminethesewnseamstrength,seamslippage,orseamintegrityofaparticularfabricforaspecifiedenduse.Note2ThistestmethodisusedinconjunctionwithTestMethodD5034,whichisusedtomeasurebreakingforceandelongationoftextilefabrics.Sewnseamsinwovenfabricscanfailduetorupture,slippage,oranycombinationthereof.Rupturecanbefurthercategorizedasfailureorfabric,orsewingthread,orseamslippage.1.3Thistestmethoddoesnotpredictactualwearperformanceofaseam.1.4Thevaluesstatedineitheracceptablemetricunits(SI)orinotherunitsshallberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesexpressedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;thereforeeachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother,withoutcombiningvaluesinanyway.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
