【摘要】:Purchasersofpolymermodifiedasphaltneedtobegivenguidelinesonproperstorageandhandlingprocedurestomaintaintheintegrityofmaterialtheyhavepurchased.Thispracticeprovidesasignificanttoolforunderstandingthecharacteristicsofthesematerialsaswellascomparingvarioussourcesofsupply.1.1Thispracticedescribesalaboratoryprocedurefordeterminingthetendencyofpolymertoseparatefrompolymermodifiedasphaltunderstaticheatedstorageconditions.Theresultsoftestingonmaterialpreparedaccordingtothispracticemaybeusedasaguidelinewhenformulatingproductsortoestablishfieldhandlingprocedures.Largedifferencesintestresultsbetweentopandbottomspecimensindicatethatthereisadegreeofincompatibilitybetweenthepolymerandthebaseasphalt.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesandtodeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
